Assembled in Russia: Hyundai presented the new Creta for the Russian market

The Korean company Hyundai held at its Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus plant in St. Petersburg a special event dedicated to the launch of the second generation of the popular Creta compact crossover for the Russian market. It will be collected there.

The new version of Hyundai Creta for Russia is in many ways similar to the models that have been sold in China and India for a couple of years. But the Russian version of the crossover differs from them in a unique “cascading” pattern of the radiator grille, other bumpers and updated optics. In addition to the original appearance, the car received a new comfortable interior and a number of high-tech options, including the innovative Bluelink telematics services.

The crossover has grown slightly in comparison with its predecessor. It is 30mm longer and 10mm wider than the first generation Hyundai Creta. The dimensions of the new car are 4,300 × 1,790 × 1,620 mm with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm, which is 20 mm more than the previous version. Clearance – 190 mm.

Hyundai Creta of the second generation will be presented in Russia in five different trim levels (Prime, Classic, Family, Lifestyle and Prestige) with 1.6 and 2 liter petrol engines and 123 and 149 horsepower respectively, six-speed manual and automatic transmissions and front or four-wheel drive. The base offers a proprietary multimedia system with support for Car Play and Android Auto and an 8-inch touchscreen display, which can be replaced with a 10.25-inch high-resolution panel for an additional fee.

The start of local production of Hyundai Creta for the Russian market is scheduled for July 1. Sales start dates and prices will be announced at a later date.
