Yesterday, the entire world celebrated Cosmonautics Day, and the US Department of State even published a small message on Facebook on this occasion, which literally says the following:
Today is the International Day of Human Space Flight.
On this day, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of man’s stay in space, as well as technological progress and international cooperation, which is facilitated by the exploration of outer space.
The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin reacted to this post. And he reacted on Twitter, and quite emotionally:
Assholes. Superpowers don’t behave like this https://t.co/UIywWjbUBN

Apparently, the curator of the national space programs did not like the fact that Yuri Gagarin was not mentioned in the article, and not a word was said about the fact that the first man in space was a cosmonaut from the USSR. Moreover, the illustration features an American astronaut with a US flag patch. Rogozin’s indignation about this, of course, is understandable, but the wording could be softer.
