Astrazeneca vaccine: End in the 60s in Italy after the death of an 18-year-old

The decision not to grant the Astrazeneca vaccine against coronavirus in citizens under 60 years of age received by the Italian authorities, according to Rai, the country’s public television.

The death of an 18-year-old girl who had chronic low platelet counts and was vaccinated with Astrazeneca has prompted government advisers to take a “very careful” stance and make a “strong recommendation” to change the guidelines so far.

There are 29 fewer patients in the ICUs of the country today than yesterday, while in the hospital wards there are 277 fewer.
