AstraZeneca vaccine: Germany reports 31 rare cases of brain thrombosis, 9 die

The recording of 31 cases of rare thrombosis in the brain after its administration AstraZeneca vaccine, the German regulatory authority announced on Tuesday. The nine died.

The Paul Ehrlich Institute noted that it has recorded 31 cases of thrombi in the cerebral veins – known as cerebral vein thrombosis or CSVT, as reported by Reuters.

In 9 of these cases, people died. With the exception of two cases, all reports concerned women aged 20 to 63 years. The two men were 36 and 57 years old.
