Today, January 4, ASUS held a presentation of its new products at CES 2023, some of which deserve special attention. For example, the manufacturer introduced the world to its first gaming monitor, which crossed the 500Hz display refresh mark – the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP model boasts a frequency of 540Hz, which, according to the manufacturer, will appeal to gamers who prefer competitive video games. True, the other characteristics of the monitor leave much to be desired – 24.1 inches diagonal at 1080p resolution will really attract not all video game fans.

Also at the event, ASUS employees presented the latest gaming monitor ROG Swift PG27AQDM, which acquired an OLED matrix with a diagonal of 27 inches, 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The manufacturer promises higher image quality and impressive contrast, plus on the back of the monitor there is a stylish logo (which the gamer will see twice in his life), the stand can project the logo onto the table, and this monitor also has a radiator for cooling the panel. The chip is certainly strange, but ASUS believes that this is a necessity to lower the operating temperature.

Of course, ASUS has not done without new laptops. For example, the company introduced the ROG Zephyrus model, which boasts a 14-inch display based on Mini LED technology. Externally, the laptop has not changed much compared to the previous generation, but due to the new display, it received a brightness of 600 nits, which will be useful in certain scenarios. In addition, if 14 inches is not enough for someone, the manufacturer also released a 16-inch model – with a display refresh rate of 240 Hz and the same case design (with an animated screen on the lid). The novelty will go on sale in the second quarter of this year, no one names the price.

In addition, ASUS decided to update the line of ROG Flow gadgets, which now consists of three models – X13, X16 and Z13. The main advantage of the devices is that they can work as a laptop with their own hardware keyboard, or transform into a tablet. But now there is much more powerful hardware inside, it is possible to connect to external graphics accelerators and work with multiple monitors at the same time, which will allow you to have a portable workstation the size of a tablet in a case.

Rounding out the list of interesting new products from ASUS CES 2023 are the Strix and Scar laptops, which will also be available in 18-inch display configurations. Given that they have a 16:9 aspect ratio, these will be really large laptops that simply have no competitors on the market with a similar diagonal. The manufacturer also noted that in the top configuration, laptops will receive up to 65 GB of DDR5 RAM, up to 2 TB on a solid state drive, the latest graphics cards and processors, as well as a display refresh rate from 165 Hz to 240 Hz. It’s scary to imagine how much such a laptop will cost in a top-end configuration.
