Asus laptops unveiled with GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 280W charging, 300Hz screen

Asus has unveiled updated ROG Strix laptops that feature the latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-series and AMD Ryzen 6000-series processors.

The only difference between the Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 and Scar 17 is the screen size. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers a 15.6-inch QHD LCD screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, as well as support for Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive Sync. The 17-inch model features a 17-inch QHD display and retains all display features.

The laptops are equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU. Asus ROG Strix Scar laptops come with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB SSD.

The laptops are RGB backlit, support USB-C charging, and come with a powerful 280W power adapter that charges the laptop up to 50% in just 30 minutes. There’s also WiFi 6E, two USB Type-A USB3.2 Gen1, one USB-C, one USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, one LAN, and one HDMI 2.1. The laptops are running Windows 11.

The Asus ROG Strix G series laptops are also available in two screen sizes. ROG Strix G15 features a 15.6″ Full HD IPS display with 300Hz refresh rate, 100% SRGB and 300cd/m peak brightness2. ROG Strix G17 features a 17.3″ IPS WQHD display with 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 300cd/m brightness2.

The laptops are equipped with AMD Ryzen 6000 series or Ryzen 9 6900HX processors and NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU. The laptops are available with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB M.2 SSD. There’s also a full array of ports, backlit keys, Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, and 240W fast charging.
