This is an evolution of the PG279Q model, which at one time became one of the first monitors with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, supporting Nvidia G-Sync adaptive sync technology and a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz. Introduced five years later, the Asus ROG Strix PG279QM supports a refresh rate of 240Hz.
