ASUS USB Type-C Monitor Sales Go Up in Europe

The Taiwanese company ASUS announced a record growth in demand in Europe for branded monitors with USB Type-C connectors. In particular, we are talking about the ASUS ProArt and ZenScreen series.

According to ASUS and CONTEXT analytics agency, sales of the aforementioned monitors grew by a record 123% in 2020 compared to 2019. We are talking about deliveries in the EMEA region, which includes, in addition to European countries, the Middle East and Africa. European market demand for USB-C LCD monitors grew 68% year-on-year, while the popularity of ASUS ProArt monitors in EMEA countries grew 40% last year.

The manufacturer notes that the popularity of the universal USB-C connector is gaining momentum. We can say that it has already become the new standard for charging devices and data transfer. More brands are ditching older versions of USB in favor of USB-C. Now this interface is equipped not only with many smartphones, but also with most new laptops, monitors and other equipment.

ASUS calls ZenScreen the world’s most popular portable monitor series. Models from this line are distinguished by their compact size, versatility and ergonomics. And in connection with the massive transition to remote work and learning due to the coronavirus pandemic, their popularity has only increased, especially among laptop owners. As for the ProArt series monitors, they stand out for their excellent picture quality. Models in the ASUS ProArt line are HDR capable, high brightness and CalmanVerified certified. They are also equipped with a built-in USB-C port, which can be used not only to connect other equipment and transfer data, but also to recharge mobile devices, moreover, the charging power on supported models can reach 65 watts.
