ASUS will hold a CS: GO tournament for amateurs and pros with a prize fund of 2 million rubles

Great news for gamers who fight in competitive games at a professional level or want to try their hand at this direction – ASUS, together with its sister gaming brand ROG and esports clubs Colizeum, will hold a fairly large CS tournament called ROG KING CUP in 2022: GO. It should be noted right away that it is designed for both ordinary fans of computer video games and professional cybersportsmen with extensive experience in this area. In addition, competitions will be held offline on modern esports gaming laptops.

We are talking about the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733ZW-LL093W model, which boasts not only a long name, but also a powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card (laptop version) and a screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The latter is extremely important for esportsmen, especially in a competitive shooter. At the same time, the tournament, despite the offline format, will be quite accessible to all interested residents of Russia – like last year, you can try your hand at trying to win the main prize in 40 Colizeum clubs in 26 cities of the country.

The tournament will be held in the 1:1 Single Elimination format, and the final will be held in the Grand-Final Bo3 format. Fortunately, participation in this event is completely free and available to all interested gamers – registration is already open (it was launched on February 1 this year), and the tournament is scheduled to start on March 18, 2022.

Geography of the tournament:

  • The first season is the Central Region.
  • The second season is the Southern region.
  • The third season is Siberia.
  • Grand final – Moscow.

In addition, the eight best participants of the stage will share the entire prize fund of the first season of the ROG King Cup — 350,000 rubles. They will also receive valuable prizes in the form of ASUS Republic of Gamers peripherals – ROG Strix Go 2.4 headsets, ROG Gladius III Wireless gaming mice and stylish ROG Scabbard II mousepads. The winner of the grand final will receive the main prize of 700 thousand rubles and a powerful gaming laptop from Republic of Gamers.
