From June 1, 2022, all the standards of the Hellenic Standardization Organization (ELOT), which are currently at the highest rate (24%), will be transferred to the low VAT rate of 6%, as it emerged after coordinated actions of the CEO of ELOT, Georgia Rembou with AADE, in the context of the directions of the Minister of Development & Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis for the promotion of Greek standardization and support of Greek companies.
This is the first move in the context of the wider review of the pricing policy of ELOT standards, in order for them to be affordable in terms of companies and the general public.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Development and Investment, reducing the cost of standards, both in terms of VAT and in general, is a constant demand of the market.
