The actress Fernanda Montenegro who will turn 95 this Wednesday (16), said in the documentary “Tribute” who thinks about his own death every second and has reflected on it.
The documentary, which premieres on GloboPlay on the same date as Fernanda’s birthday, it will be a tribute to the actress during her lifetime. In one of the excerpts released from the production, she talks about the theme of death.
“The awareness of death is constant, daily, every second. It’s not about conforming, it’s about trying to accept it, because it will come. What are we going to do? No one is eternal,” she said.
Furthermore, the actress said that she constantly thinks about her friends who have died and that she ends up feeling a “hole of longing” for those who have passed away.
Fernanda also said that she wants to celebrate the 100 years because he is inspired by his father, who always had a lot of passion for life.
“I’m from a breed that lasts a long time. My father, in his late 90s, said he wanted to be 100 because life is so good. So, I have these examples close to me”, she declared.
“They are tough old men who have endured a lot in life and want to reach 100. I am a woman and by trade. One day we will leave this planet. Or [a gente] it will stay buried, or it will rise to the heights and seek another transcendence”, he concluded.
With an 80-year career, the actress remains active, dedicating herself to different art formats. In recent months, she spent time reading a work by Simone de Beauvoir and is now about to premiere “I’m Still Here” — a film chosen by Brazil to try to get a spot in the Oscar race — alongside her daughter Fernanda Torres .
