At least 15 dead in a bus car accident in Malaysia

At least 15 people were killed and more than 30 were injured when a bus transporting students clashed today with a passenger van on a highway in the northern part of Malaysia, near the border with Thailand, emergency services said. Thirteen people were killed on the spot, and two injured ended up in a hospital after being wounded, the Malaysian news agency Bernama said. “The bus overturned and the passenger van fell into a ditch,” the emergency services announcement. “Some victims were able to get rid of themselves, others were tilted outside, and some remained trapped in the bus,” said rescuers who rushed to the scene of the accident. The information emphasizes that rescuers used special components to unload occupants from the bush sheets of the bus. Traffic accidents are very often in Malaysia. The Star newspaper said in March that on average a man is killed every two hours on the streets of the country.
