At least 31 dead and 1,500 cases – alarming spread of cholera in Ethiopia

The non -governmental organization without borders (MSF) announced today that at least 31 people have died of cholera and more than 1,500 cases have been diagnosed in western Ethiopia, where the disease “spreads quickly”. Cholera is an acute diarrhea disease caused by the consumption of food or water infected by a bacterium, the vibrio cholerae.
