At least 36 Syrian soldiers were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the early hours of today, Friday 29/3, in Aleppo province, in northern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported. According to this NGO, which is based in Britain and has a wide network of sources in Syria, the bombing mainly targeted “weapons warehouses” of the Lebanese organization Hezbollah, which is fighting on the side of the Syrian regime. “At least 36 soldiers were killed and dozens (others) were wounded in the Israeli raids” which focused on an area near Aleppo airport, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights noted. For its part, a source of the official Syrian news agency SANA in the army referred to “dead and wounded civilians and soldiers” in the Israeli raid against military positions on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo.
