At least 88 postal services cut off parcel missions to the US because of duties

A total of 88 posts have completely or partially interrupted the parcel missions to the US, resulting in 80%reducing their volume after the new duties imposed by Washington, the World Postal Association (UPU) said today. UPU works to quickly find out “a new technical solution that will allow the US traditions to resume, its general manager, Massachiko Metoki, assured in a statement. According to UPU, the data exchanged by postal companies through its electronic system show that on Friday, August 29, parcels were reduced by 81%compared to the previous week. “Moreover, 88 Post Companies informed UPU that they have completely or partially interrupted their postal services to the US until a solution was implemented,” he added.
