A day care center in the city of Blumenau, in Santa Catarina, was the target of an attack this Wednesday morning (5). At least four children died.
The Fire Department informed the CNN that the incident took place on Rua dos Caçadores, in the Velha neighborhood, where the Centro Educacional Infantil (CEI) Cantinho do Bom Pastor is located.
The delegate at the scene confirmed that at least four children died and another four injured were taken to hospitals in the region.
According to the Military Police of Santa Catarina (PMSC), the author of the attack – an older man – was arrested.
The occurrence is ongoing and new information should be passed on soon.
The Municipal Department of Transit and Transport (SMTT) of Blumenau reported that traffic on the street was stopped.
