At least four dead in Syria in airstrikes attributed to Israel

Three members of the Lebanese Hezbollah were killed tonight in an airstrike in the central Syrian province of Homs, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. He announced that three Syrians, who were members of Hezbollah, were killed in an “Israeli strike on a military location in the province of Homs.” Another airstrike, also attributed to Israel, killed a girl and wounded ten other civilians in the coastal town of Baniyas, Syrian state television reported. Israel has launched hundreds of airstrikes in Syria since the neighboring country's civil war broke out 13 years ago, mostly targeting Iranian-backed forces and Syrian army positions. It has escalated attacks since the start of the war with Hamas on October 7, as tensions rise across the wider Middle East region.
