At least seven people killed in Israeli raid and airstrikes in West Bank

At least seven people were killed today during an Israeli military raid and airstrikes in the occupied West Bank, as announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Five of the seven people were killed in two separate Israeli attacks in and near the town of Qabatiya, while two more were killed in the Tamun area, the ministry said. The Israeli military said its aircraft targeted a group of militants and that its forces arrested 60 militants. The Islamic Jihad group’s armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, said its fighters clashed with Israeli forces in the areas of Kabatigha and Tamun. Violence has risen sharply in the West Bank since the Gaza war began, with almost daily raids by Israeli forces involving thousands of arrests and regular gun battles between security forces and Palestinian militants.
