In addition to the fireworks show in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the arrival of 2022 will have fireworks in neighboring Niterói and in eight other coastal and tourist cities in the state.
According to a survey carried out by CNN, at least ten municipalities in Rio de Janeiro will receive the New Year with pyrotechnics. The city halls of the cities of Angra dos Reis and Paraty, on the Costa Verde, are also preparing shows with bands and singers.
Angra, by the way, is preparing a schedule that goes beyond New Year’s Eve. On the 31st, there will be fireworks at 11 points and shows at Praia do Anil, with the expectation of gathering up to 10,000 people. The musical presentations extend on the first day of the year, with the 43rd edition of the Procissão Marítima.
At the event, dozens of boats concentrated at Praia das Flechas, on Ilha da Gipoia. At Ilha Grande, the schedule of shows runs from the 31st to the 2nd, with the participation of artists such as Gabriel O Pensador.
The City of Angra is not requiring proof of vaccination to access the city, although it advises that all people are immunized and maintain the necessary care against covid-19. If there is any news regarding this matter, we will let you know.
The New Year’s Eve party in Angra will complement the celebrations for the seaside city’s 520th anniversary. From the 6th to the 8th of January, it will receive artists such as Mariara and Maraísa, Zé Felipe and Jota Quest for shows open to the public. The city is still evaluating whether it will require an immunization passport for tourists.
In another city on the Costa Verde Fluminense, Paraty, the strategy is to decentralize the shows. The musical attractions will be distributed in six points of the city, which will also have fireworks. The city requires the presentation of proof of vaccination for those who visit the city or a laboratory test that is negative for Covid-19. In Paraty, on the 23rd, concerts were organized in the main square.
In the capital of Rio de Janeiro, preparations have already started and 25 sound towers are being set up on Copacabana beach, one of the ten fireworks display points in the city.
There will be no stage, however, DJ MAM, from a distance, will command the music for whoever is present. In addition to the sound towers, medical stations and chemical toilets are being assembled, as well as the installation of sound and special lighting. In order to avoid agglomerations, access to Copacabana beach will be restricted, such as blocking cars and public transport.
