At least three people died today trying to cross the English Channel from the coast of northern France, a tragedy that brings to a record 76 the number of migrants who have died in similar circumstances in the maritime area during 2024. Three people are dead and seven in relatively critical condition, according to local authorities. At 06.00 this morning many people were in the water trying to board an already overloaded small boat.
