At Sloane, London's new luxury hotel built in an 1889 property

London , in England, gained a new luxury accommodation option. O At Sloane It is located in the Chelsea neighborhood and took six years to complete.

Represented in Brazil by Dom Collection, it is already on the list of the most luxurious and sophisticated properties in the London capital.

With just 30 accommodations, a restaurant with a terrace on the top floor and a bar that promises to be one of the busiest in the city, it was built in an 1889 building by architect Edwin Thomas Hall. The restoration completely preserved the typical red brick facade, while the interiors were completely redone.

The project was designed by hotelier Costes, owner of Costes de Paris, and interior designer François-Joseph Graf, recognized as one of the most influential and experienced art collectors in the world, and also for his remarkable career at the Palace of Versailles.

The furniture emphasizes the exquisite art pieces handpicked by Graf, both in the common spaces and in the accommodations. The restaurant, for example, has more than 500 Chinese vases selected by him. The proposal is for guests to feel like they are in a Victorian palace from the turn of the 19th century, discovering different facets of the decoration of the time.

“From the bathroom tiles to the design of the carpets to the curtains, everything is made with the best material in the world. The decorative pieces are works of art. The collection of books they have also caught my attention. In the room I stayed in, for example, there was a book with only 1,300 print runs worldwide. The Greek vases at the reception are pieces that could be in a museum in Athens, the Chinese ceramics in the restaurant were all sold at auctions”, highlights Lucas Lopes, Managing Director of DOM Co.

Now, the curiosity that remains for everyone is: how much do you have to pay to stay at At Sloane? According to the official website, until the article was published, daily rates started at 600 pounds and could reach up to 3,900. *Prices may change.
