An amendment to the bill of the Ministry of Finance that will be discussed tomorrow in the Plenary Session of the Parliament, provides, inter alia, extension of the valid, until December 31, 2022, of the reduced VAT rate of 6%:
– Goods related to public health. These include protective masks and gloves, antiseptics, disinfectant solutions, antiseptic wipes, as well as disinfectant products and other items used for antiseptic or disinfectant purposes.
– Some medical supplies needed to perform dialysis, such as filters and dialysis and dialysis lines.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the Government, with a high sense of social responsibility, proceeds to the imposed extension of the exaggerated VAT rate of 6% for the above goods, proving once again the support of citizens and society through the enactment of provisions with a strong social sign.
