The luxury hotel complex Village Resort & Waterpark, located in one of the most popular tourist destinations of Crete, in the Heraklion Peninsula, has become entangled in the nets of electronic auctions. In particular, it is scheduled on December 30 – if there is no move to suspend the process as a reasonable period of time – to strike the electronic hammer for the hotel in question.

It should be noted that the auction is directed against the company I. CON.T. of the ELTERGA group, which has been active in the real estate sector since 1999. As mentioned on the official website of I. CON.T. , the construction of this hotel unit was the most recent major project of the company, which was financed with own funds without the assistance of a state subsidy. The hotel, which used to operate under the Meltemi Village brand, has been given a 12-year contract to Zeus Hotels, which, however, has nothing to do with the auction, which is scheduled to take place next December and is worth noting. that the tourist unit is normally operating.

The first offer price has been set at 19,015 million euros, however, as pointed out by the owner company of the property, the value of this hotel complex was estimated by a large international financial group and is over 35 million euros, without mentioning more information on when this assessment was made. It should be noted that the auction is expedited by Cepal Hellas with the amount of the debt for which the seizure was made amounting to 400,000 euros.

What does the property include

The property includes an area of ​​a total area of ​​38,154.31 sq.m., which is located at Spilios in Hersonissos and came from the union of 8 neighboring plots. Building facilities have been erected in this area, in which the four-star hotel Village Resort & Waterpark operates normally.

The construction of the complex was done with building permits issued in 1998 and 2005 by the urban planning of the prefecture of Heraklion, while according to I.CON.T, the total area of ​​the buildings is 8,164.64 sq.m., of which 3,146 sq.m. main use and 1,200 sq.m. auxiliary use were built in 1998 and the 3,818.64 sq.m. were used in 2004. During the first phase of the project, 19 two-storey and three-storey room wings were constructed, which include 174 double rooms, and in the second phase, 101 additional rooms with a combined area of ​​45 sq.m. were constructed. and a total area of ​​4,545 sq.m.

In the surrounding area there is a theater, Waterpark, 3 swimming pools, a football field, a parking lot and plantings. According to the external autopsy, which took place last May, the unit was found to be of normal construction and maintenance, while due to the age of the hotel, it is pointed out that an extensive renovation is needed in the first year on the outside of the buildings and secondarily inside the rooms. .

The complex, which belongs to the category of all inclusive family hotel, which are found to a large extent in the area of ​​Hersonissos which attracts mainly British and until recently Russian tourists, built panoramic on a hill and overlooking the Cretan Archipelago.
