Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the UN General Assembly on Thursday (26) that the entire world is responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
“Stop killing children and women, stop the genocide, stop sending weapons to Israel. This madness cannot continue. The whole world is responsible for what is happening to our people in Gaza and the West Bank,” Abbas said.
The leader said Gaza was unrecognizable and called on the international community to impose sanctions on Israel. “Seventy-five percent of everything in Gaza has been completely destroyed,” he said.
Abbas criticized the United States for vetoing resolutions against Israel at the UN Security Council and for providing weapons that would have been used to kill thousands of innocent civilians.
“Israel does not deserve to be a member of the United Nations and says it has not met the conditions for UN membership,” he said.
