Atmospheric blockage persists in several regions of Brazil; see the forecast for Saturday (20)

The atmospheric blockage over Brazil is expected to continue until the middle of next week, maintaining the predominance of dry air in much of the country.

According to Climatempo, air humidity may drop below 20% in several areas of the Central-West and Southeast. In the extreme North and on the east coast of the Northeast, instability will continue to occur. Check the weather forecast in each region for this Saturday (20):

South region

The southern region of Brazil will be marked by stable weather due to atmospheric blockage this Saturday (20). Therefore, temperatures in the morning will be low, especially in mountainous areas and near the coast.

During the day, the sun appears between clouds and temperatures gradually rise. In the areas of Campanha Gaúcha, Vales do RS, Vale do Itajaí, Planalto Catarinense, Ponta Grossa and the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, there is a probability of fog.

Some mountainous areas of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina may experience occasional frost early in the morning, unlike capitals such as Porto Alegre, Florianópolis and Curitiba, which will remain with stable weather, with sun between clouds.

Southeast region

In the Southeast of the country, the atmospheric blockage keeps the weather stable and with little cloudiness, especially in the interior. In the east of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santos and the far east of Minas, the circulation of maritime winds increases cloudiness in the areas.

The relative humidity in the interior of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais will be between 21% and 30%, which results in an increased risk of fires and may worsen air quality.

Midwest region

For this Saturday (20), the Central-West region continues with predominant dry air and little cloudiness. Thus, temperatures will rise sharply, with relative humidity between 21% and 30%, which result in critical levels that are harmful to health and can increase the risk of fires.

In areas of Mato Grosso, western Goiás and northern Mato Grosso do Sul, humidity can drop below 20%.

Northeast Region

In the Northeast, the circulation of maritime winds and high temperatures continue to contribute to the formation of heavy clouds, with rain along the east coast, from the south of Bahia to the east of Rio Grande do Norte.

Inland, the weather remains stable, except in the extreme north of Maranhão and Ceará, places where there is a chance of light rain in the morning.

North region

The North region is marked by instability and high temperatures, with rain showers in the north-central regions of Pará and Amazonas, Amapá and Roraima.

In the north-central part of Roraima, including Boa Vista, there is a forecast of storms, with lightning and gusts of wind.
