Atomos announced that it is working with Sony to add support for recording ProRes RAW video from the Sony FX3 Cinema Line camera to the Ninja V recorder over HDMI.
An update is under development. It will allow the Atomos Ninja V recorder to record 16-bit Raw at up to 4K60p resolution.

DP Reviews draws attention to one nuance. While the FX3 can output 16-bit Raw video through the HDMI port, the Ninja V can only record ProRes RAW in 12-bit. This means that any ProRes RAW footage recorded on the Ninja V will be limited to 12-bit. However, even when recording video material in 12-bit format, the recorder generates it using 16-bit input data.
According to Atomos, users “will benefit from the full flexibility offered by the ProRes RAW format as Atomos ensures that all camera white balance, ISO and exposure compensation settings are available to the user in Final Cut Pro.”
The manufacturer does not name the update release date.
