Attack by Al. Tsipras in the government for mismanagement

Alexis Tsipras launched a full-frontal attack on the government, intervening in the debate in Parliament on the conclusion of the Committee of Inquiry on the Petsa list.

The president of SYRIZA accused the government of mismanagement and “gnawing” of the pillow left by the SYRIZA government, with accusations that: “Households do not have to spend a month and you party with public money”.

Styling his speech, he said, among other things:

– If the two thousand is epic, then what are the 5 billion direct assignments? The gratuitous arrangements for SME owners? Sack direct assignments to polling companies that refuse to provide primary research data and are protected? The epic of the Mitsotakis government can not be compared to any other government of the Right since the change of government. Corruption, propaganda, corruption, embezzlement of public money have always been in the DNA of your party, but today they have no precedent

– The unprecedented wave of accuracy sweeps the income, households do not have to make ends meet and you have set up a party with public money

– The tens of millions you gave to the media without criteria to do propaganda turn pale in front of the five billion in direct assignments

– You have distributed so much public money with absolute opacity and you have the audacity to tell the citizens who are cold and who see the bills exceeding their pensions and salaries, that we will be diverted financially. Aren’t you ashamed?

– Instead of reducing the VAT, instead of reducing the VAT on food, instead of raising the minimum wage so that people can breathe, you say that we will escape financially

– For two and a half years, what did you do that you ate from the ready-made, of the paved economy that we left you and from the pillow

– We left your economy straight and the debt regulated, things that ensured low interest rates and you were talking about the Mitsotakis effect. Where did the Mitsotakis effect go now? That interest rates go up and spreads double.

– Where did the money for direct assignments go? In shock absorber companies, in grocery stores, in “groomsmen”? To “stuck”? In companies that were created twenty-four hours before they got the job. At an unprecedented public money laundering party.

– And then you were immediately offended by Lebanon’s recognition of 2007, it is the same practice. Either you hide them in bags, or you transfer them to remittances, or you leave them orphaned out of your cravings, or you distribute them generously in the name of the pandemic. – You do not increase the minimum wage but increase it to 100,000 euros for golden boys. 8,134 euros per month for golden boys of ND but you do not accept the increase of the minimum wage to 800 euros.

– This money you are distributing is the money that the doctors and nurses who worked unpaid overtime were deprived of, it is the money that the families of the people who were looking for an ICU bed were deprived of, it is the money that the NSS deprived of infrastructure, consumables and staff . And precisely because the NSS deprived them, we are the worst in Europe in deaths.

– As you distribute money to your constituents, inflation jumped to 5.5%, above the European average.

– The cost of electricity is 45% higher – and even before the effects of consumption from the severe winter of January are captured. But your concern was the privatization of PPC. And electricity and gas networks. Depriving the state of the ability to pursue a national energy policy to keep tariffs low.

– You said that PPC is not doing well on the Stock Exchange nowadays, but the citizens’ pockets were doing well. During SYRIZA for 4.5 years, households did not see an increase of a single euro. And we also had memoranda.

Why is the price so much lower in a number of other European countries? Greece before taxes is 17th in the price of gasoline but after taxes we are in 5th place in Europe with the most expensive gasoline.

– How will people cope, do you care? why not increase the salary to 800 euros now? How will the world of work live? The employees? The retirees you deprived of the one billion that we introduced to receive as an additional pension.

– There is no list of Petsa, Skertsou, Dimitriadis, Kikilia. There is only Mitsotaki list. Full of sponsors, friends, best men, blue children, mothers and fans who insatiably consume the property of the Greek people, without any control and without any shyness.

– Witnesses of the examination committee when asked if they know the criteria which they themselves had asked to be informed, the answer they gave is “No, we do not know them yet”.

– Greece under the Mitsotakis government is in the last positions internationally in press freedom, along with Orban-type regimes. But Greece and the Greek people have strong antibodies to authoritarianism, antibodies to monophony, antibodies to entanglement.

Greece needs government to support citizens by raising the minimum wage to 800 euros to protect income and stimulate consumption, by settling and writing off part of the pandemic’s private debt, so that the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises can survive, with reduction of VAT on food and Excise Duties on energy below the permissible European levels, by adjusting PPC tariffs to drag down the entire energy market, with rules and intensive controls to combat money laundering and energy cartels in the market.
