At least 471 people died and 314 were injured in the attack on al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday (17), according to a statement from the local Palestinian Ministry of Health.
“The death toll from the largest and most violent massacre committed by the criminal Israeli occupation inside the Baptist hospital reached 471 martyrs, with 28 critical cases and 314 injured, with several injuries still ongoing,” said the entire Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
In total, 3,478 Palestinians have died since the conflict began on October 7, according to Palestinian authorities.
The authorship of the attack on the hospital is still a mystery. Authorities in Gaza have said Israel was behind the deadly hospital explosion, while Israeli authorities blame Islamic Jihad.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the bombing of the hospital was caused by a “failed rocket launch” by the radical Islamic group.
The spokesman for Palestinian Islamic Jihad denied that the group was responsible for the attack.
