The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said this Sunday (22) that it sees the attack on a refugee camp in the city of Jenin as a “dangerous escalation”.
“The Ministry takes the bombing of the Jenin camp yesterday with great seriousness and considers it a dangerous escalation using warplanes, resulting in Palestinian civilian casualties and terrorizing them, including children and women,” the ministry said.
The Israeli military said it launched an airstrike on the mosque in the West Bank to prevent what it called “an imminent terrorist attack.” At least three people died at the scene, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Palestinian body said the attack was “an attempt to generalize the Gaza Strip bombing model to areas in the occupied West Bank.”
The international community was also criticized by the ministry “for its failure to move forward so far to stop this Israeli killing and destruction against Gaza and its people, and considers that its responses are weak, selective and biased and do not rise to the level of extending the genocide to which the Gaza Strip is exposed.”
