Gas station attendant Odair Loureiro Muchon, 66, died after being dragged by a truck on Thursday night (25), during his workday. The case took place in the neighborhood of Mooca, in the east zone of São Paulo.
Officials from the station administration say that the colleague was trying to prevent the driver of a truck, who had filled up his vehicle on the spot, from leaving without paying for the fuel. The amount due was not disclosed.
According to witness reports to the police, the victim was dragged a few meters to the end of the street, but it was not possible to observe whether he fell or was run over by the truck. The driver fled.
The Military Police were triggered and called the rescue, but the frentist died at the scene. The case was registered at the 56th Police District of São Paulo, in Vila Alpina. The survey was carried out overnight.
A CNN Auto Posto Sinhá Moça, where Odair worked, reported that it is collaborating with the investigations and is providing assistance to the attendant’s family.
