Attica Group: Confirmed sale of ship for recycling

The sale of “Pegasus Express” for recycling was officially announced today by Attica Group, confirming a relevant report by Capital.gr.

The sale price, according to the announcement, amounted to 1.12 million dollars.

It is recalled that in August 2020 the ship collided with a shallow area near the prefecture of Armathia in Kasos while operating from the port of Sitia to the ports of the prefecture of Kasou – prefecture of Karpathos – prefecture of Halki – prefecture of Rhodes. Thus, from the beginning of September last year until today, it is anchored in the Shipbuilding and Repair Zone of Perama.

ATTICA HOLDINGS SA informs the investing public that the E / G – O / G ship EXPRESS PEGASUS, owned by a subsidiary of the Company, was sold for the purpose of recycling in accordance with European and Greek legislation for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships, Recycling of Turkey, which is included in the European List of Ship Recycling Units.

The sale price was in US dollars. 1.12 million, was paid in cash, and strengthened the cash resources of the Group. The transaction does not affect the results of the Group.
