Attiko Metro: The contract was signed with the technical consultant for line 4

The contract for the provision of technical consulting services was signed today at the offices of Attiko Metro, with the contractor consortium Hill International- NAMA Consulting Engineers and Designers- Concept Consulting Engineers, regarding the construction of the New Line 4 of the Athens Metro – Section A ‘- Veikos – Goudi grove and future extensions, total price 18,922,100 euros plus VAT and duration of 60 months.

The contract will be financed by the Operational Program “Infrastructure, Transport, Environment and Sustainable Development” NSRF 2014-2020, from resources of the NSRF 2021-2027 and the Public Investment Program.

It is noted that under the contract the contractor consortium is expected to offer consulting services for the study, construction and commissioning, regarding the implementation of the construction of the New Line 4 of the Athens Metro, Section A ‘”Veikos – Goudi Grove” , will participate in the project under construction of the Extension of Line 3 of the Metro, Department “Agia Marina – Municipal Theater”, and is expected to assist in the planning and development of future extensions of the Metro and Tram in the greater Attica and Piraeus Region.

The contractor consortium will participate in every activity (design, auction, construction, testing and commissioning) required within the technical object of the projects under construction of Attiko Metro SA. and new projects in order to certify their successful completion. It will also provide specialized technical solutions, information and optimization suggestions based on the latest technological developments, support for resolving design issues and supervising management.

New Extensions

At the same time, Attiko Metro SA announces that in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, it is planning an ambitious program of extensions of the Athens Metro that includes the extensions of Line 4 to Maroussi, Dafni and St. Petersburg, Line 2 to Ilion and Glyfada and the new branch of Line 1 to Kallithea and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, with the primary goal of further reducing the traffic problem, improving the quality of travel, with reliability, speed, safety and high aesthetics, for the residents and visitors of Athens.
