Illuminating the future, looking forward with energy, optimism and many projects to be implemented. Until 27 September, Audi City Lab welcomes the public at Spiga 26, the urban regeneration project by Hines which hosts the 2021 edition of the Audi branded ideas laboratory which, as usual, animates Milan with ad hoc activities and projects. The Audi City Lab will host the stories of those who are planning a tomorrow in tune with the world around us, putting man and his uniqueness at the center in a moment of crucial restart like the one we are experiencing.
Experiences that tell about avant-garde and new horizons to explore, as evidenced by the installation by Marcel Wanders studio, told on stage by Gabriele Key, one of the two creative directors. Thanks to the vision of Marcel Wanders studio, the location has been transformed into a unique installation. In fact, the Amsterdam design atelier has created an immersive experience that takes its name Enlightening the future, within which the visitor personally interfaces with the play of light and the creative solutions present, becoming himself the creator and spectator of the experience. The public, in connection with the contents of the Audi world, is projected into an emotional and enveloping dimension in which Audi A6 e-tron concept, in national preview, and the Granturismo Audi RS e-tron GT they are unusual art objects that are revealed behind a modern and suggestive case of light.
In every detail, expressive forms communicate a tension towards the future, a future made of creativity, vision and progress which finds testimony in the voices of the great protagonists of our times. And it was precisely about rebirth and restart that we talked about in the talk Inspired by Progress held on 6 September together with Mario Calabresi, journalist and writer, director and screenwriter Gabriele Muccino, who focused on how the society from which to draw inspiration has changed, Francesco Ragazzi, founder and creative director Palm Angels, Gabriele Key and, of course, Fabrizio Longo, Audi Italia Director, together with Henrik Wenders, Senior Vice President AUDI AG, who investigated the scenarios in which Audi fits as a provider of sustainable mobility. As with cars, even the cities of the future put citizens and their needs and the new way of understanding the community in which they live at the center of their design. With digitization, new technologies, and attention to the environment, man returns to the center. And the automotive industry was among the first to change course: the passenger compartment is the new cornerstone of design and the interior becomes the new design fulcrum. An epochal and revolutionary paradigm shift for the design of the cars of the future.
