Two days after the cancellation of the show at Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo, on his birthday, Roberto Carlos received a belated congratulations from the audience during his performance in São José dos Campos on Sunday (21).
The first show of the tour “I Offer Flowers” It was scheduled to take place on Friday (19), the same day the singer turned 83, at Arena Pacaembu.
The event was canceled after a decision by the City of São Paulo, which took the decision “after proving a lack of safety during a joint inspection by the Fire Department and Contru, a municipal body that certifies the safety of buildings”.
According to the municipal administration, irregularities were found such as obstructed and incomplete emergency exits, non-existent escape route signage, inoperative pressurized stairs, emergency exit doors without anti-panic bars and an inoperative fire detection system.
The company responsible for Arena Pacaembu, Concessionária Allegra Pacaembu, even told the CNN that the show would go ahead anyway, but he went back and canceled the event just over an hour before the gates opened.
Several fans found out about the cancellation only when they were already at the concert venue.
Allegra Pacaembu and the production company Four Even Eventos e Produções informed that those who purchased tickets online should contact the customer service channel (WhatsApp 0800-232-0800) for a refund.
For those who purchased physical tickets, we will inform you in the next few days how the amounts will be refunded.
