Australia: What led to the arrest and the macabre finding

A neighbor of the house where the girl went missing this week told the Daily Mail Australia that his wife, while reading, heard the sound of a car on the road at 4:30 in the morning.

“He got out of bed and went to the window and saw a shadow moving,” said John Heitzler. “It’s very quiet here at night and you can clearly see every light, let alone the headlights – they were not on.”

Mr. Heitzler said his wife could not see the make of the car or who was driving it, but reported it to police after hearing that a little girl was missing from the next door.
