Austria: One dead and one missing from bad weather

One person was killed and another is reported missing after landslides caused by heavy rainfall which cut off roads and isolated villages, the Austrian authorities announced today.

The bad weather last night, Tuesday to Wednesday, which also caused rivers to overflow, caused severe damage in the mountainous region of Villach in the state of Carinthia, in the south of the country, on the border with Italy and Slovenia.
