Authorities find out who blew up mysterious monument in Georgia

A mysterious monument of Georgia us United States was damaged Wednesday when an explosive device was detonated near the attraction, prompting authorities to demolish the object for safety reasons, the State Bureau of Investigation said.

Investigators are now looking for those responsible for triggering the bomb in the nearly 20-foot granite sculpture known as “The Guide Stones of Georgia”.

The blast happened around 4 am in the city of Elberton, about 100 miles east of the capital Atlanta, according to the GBI.

No one was injured, officials said.

In a video released by the investigation department, it is possible to see a large part of the granite slab called “America’s Stonehenge” breaking and collapsing.

The four vertical slabs that dominate the “Guide Stones” were inscribed with the 10 principles, each side in a different modern language.

Alphabets from early human civilizations are engraved on the keystone, among them Egyptian hieroglyphics, Babylonian cuneiform, Sanskrit and classical Greek.

The mystery surrounding the monument is that no one knows who took it for the construction or who created the sculpture, which has remained in place since 1980.
