A company has developed an automatic take-off system for airplanes and is preparing to proceed with tests to eliminate the risk of an accident when the craft is lifted to begin flight. The system is called the “E2 Enhanced Take Off System” and was developed by Brazil’s Embraer and is to be used on E-190-E2 and E-190-E2 airplanes that can carry up to 140 passengers. According to a publication on the interestingengineering.com website, this system allows the plane to take off earlier and at a greater angle, without the risk of tail strike – a dangerous occurrence in which the tail of the aircraft comes into contact with the runway or a obstacle during takeoff.
