Avalanche overwhelms climber hoisting pseudo-Antarctic flag

The body was found dead Birkan Uzun, the Turkish Cypriot climberwho had raised his flag pseudo-states in Antarctica, at an altitude of 4,892 meters a few weeks ago.

The photo of the unfortunate climber who was overwhelmed by avalanche in the US dominates social media. Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar also issued a statement on the tragic incident that took place on New Year’s Eve, expressing his condolences:

“Our Birkan, who devoted himself to his country and nation with love, will always live in a special place in our hearts.” The 28-year-old climber lived permanently in Seattle, USA. On December 16, he had climbed to the top of Mount Vinson, with the camera lens capturing his feat.
