Avalanche Unveils Updated Ethereum Gateway

The cryptocurrency project Avalanche has replaced the gateway to the Ethereum network with an updated and revised version. The developers report that the new gateway is five times cheaper than the previous version.

In an article in the company’s blog, the developers write that the new gateway should become a “growth point” for the Avalanche network. The Avalanche Bridge (AB) gateway is already available to both users and developers, and all assets from the previous version have been migrated to the new one.

In addition to launching a new gateway, the developers updated the Avalanche network block explorer and also updated the wallet to “add next generation enhancements.”

For a smooth and hassle-free launch of the AB Bridge, there are so-called “keepers” of the ecosystem. These are the users who run the checked and updated version of the bridge – similar to how users run the upgraded nodes on other networks. The Guardians now include Avascan, Halborn, Ava Labs and BwareLabs.

Also, the Avalanche team asks developers of decentralized applications to prepare their DApps for the new standards. Ava Labs CEO Emin Gun Sirer stressed:

“The new Avalanche Bridge is a step forward in bridging networks and a huge leap forward in user experience and developer friendliness. It will become a growth point and engine for the next stage of development of Avalanche, setting a new standard for secure and efficient interaction between blockchains. ”

In February, the ChainSafe development team presented their own bridge between Avalanche and Ethereum.
