Avengers 5 will have a changed title; understand the reason

Avengers 5 was initially titled as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” , which takes a lot of focus to the character of Kang. Now, according to the vehicle, the Marvel, the studio responsible for the film, will change the title . It is not yet clear whether the character will be excluded from the story or just recast with a new actor.

Also according to the portal, the character's presence was already being minimized after the poor performance of the film responsible for his first appearance. The studio considered that “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” performed below expectations, grossing US$476 million (approximately R$2 billion).

The dismissal comes after the actor's conviction for assault and harassment. In December 2023, a jury in New York, United States, found him guilty on two of four counts of assault and harassment against his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Jonathan Majors was convicted of one count of 3rd degree reckless assault and one non-criminal count of harassment as a rape. He, however, was acquitted of another count of intentional assault and one of aggravated harassment.

Avengers 5 is still scheduled to premiere worldwide on May 1, 2026.
