Average price of a liter of gasoline rises in November and reaches R$5.30, research shows

Gasoline and ethanol prices rose about 1% in the first days of November compared to October, according to a survey released this Friday (11) by Ticket Log, Edenred Brasil’s fleet management and mobility solutions brand.

At the end of the period from November 1st to 10th, the average price of a liter of gasoline increased 1.19% in relation to October, being sold at R$ 5.30.

Hydrous ethanol increased 0.98% in the period, being sold at R$ 4.25 a liter, on average.

According to Douglas Pina, General Director of Mainstream of the Fleet and Mobility Division of Edenred Brasil, at the end of October, the average price of fuels was still low, but already decelerated.

However, this upward trajectory in the prices of gas stations in Brazil had already been pointed out by the latest weekly surveys by the regulator ANP.

According to Ticket Log, the regions most impacted by increases in gasoline prices were the Midwest and South, where increases reached 2.79% and 2.73%, respectively.

In terms of ethanol, the biggest increases were in the Midwest (+5.50%), and in the Southeast (+4.14%). Only the North and Northeast recorded drops in biofuel, of 2.16% and 0.45%, respectively.

Another Ticket Log survey released this Friday showed that diesel prices also rose in early November.
