This Monday (22), Avril Lavigne announced the tour “The Greatest Hits Tour” scheduled to launch on May 22 in Vancouver, Canada. The shows take place in celebration of the singer's second album, “Under My Skin”, which turns 20 in May.
“Tour dates for 2024, baby!” reads an excerpt from the caption in a post on her Instagram in which Avril shares her tour dates. “I'll be playing greatest hits from all my albums and along with some of your favorites, maybe some special requests? And of course all my friends are joining me!!!”
In addition to the dates, Avril announced special guests for her performances. One example is Simple Plan. “They were with me on my first tour, so it's only fair that we do it again!” she wrote, mentioning the group.
The group All Time Low will also perform. “My boys! We've been friends for a while now and we've been talking about trying to tour together for years, so glad we finally got to do it for real!” the singer wrote, adding that Royal & the Serpent and Girlfriends would also make stops on the tour.
“It's going to be so much fun to celebrate my career with my friends and fans,” Lavigne's caption continued. “Who is coming???? What songs do you want to hear???”
Tickets will go on sale starting this Friday (26) for the tour, which will tour North America in several cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Toronto, Nashville and Chicago, among other cities.
