According to the source, workers of the new Lada warehouse complex in the Tver region received exoskeletons developed by the state corporation Rostec (which is a co-owner of AvtoVAZ). The exoskeleton has a mass of 5-6 kg and serves both to increase the muscle strength of a person and to expand the range of motion. The cost of such a “suit” is 43,000 rubles.

AvtoVAZ explains the introduction of exoskeletons by caring about employees – the company is not profitable from injuries to employees. But, interestingly, workers at the assembly sites in Togliatti and Izhevsk do without exoskeletons so far. In February, it was reported that AvtoVAZ was testing exoskeletons of the American company on the B0 production line in Togliatti, but the cost of such a “suit” was estimated at almost 14,000 euros. The analogue of Rostec turned out to be ten times cheaper.
It should be noted that exoskeletons are used in many other assembly plants around the world. In particular, they are used by Japanese companies, Ford, Hyundai and others.
