Recently it became known that the first batch of LADA Vesta Cross FL and LADA Vesta Sw Cross FL (facelift) cars was assembled at the Lada – Izhevsk plant. At the same time, the plant is preparing for production a sports version of the updated Vesta. According to the administrator of the VK-group Kviring Drive, the serial production of LADA Vesta FL Sport will begin in 2023.
A source in the LADA Sport division claims that LADA Vesta FL Sport will receive an upgraded version of the VAZ-21179 engine with a volume of 1.8 liters. AVTOVAZ did not confirm this information.
The current version of LADA Vesta Sport is assembled by hand by the LADA Sport division. The car is equipped with a 1.8-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 145 hp, as well as a 5-speed manual transmission Renault JR5. Its shock absorbers and struts are original, the brakes with discs are increased in diameter, and the suspension is lowered to 147 mm. As for the regular version of LADA Vesta FL, it will go on sale next year.
