According to a company representative, there can be no direct competition between Lada and Tesla. Even if Tesla officially appears in Russia, electric vehicles will not compete with Lada, since they are targeted at different audiences and are in completely different price categories.
“Taking into account the cost of modern electric vehicles and the cost of any Lada model, which today are the most affordable cars on the Russian market, there can be no competition,” a representative of AvtoVAZ.
