On the seventh day of armed clashes, Russian troops head to the Ukrainian capital Kiev. A 67-kilometer convoy heads towards the city as the armed forces warn civilians of attacks.
Also on Wednesday, a powerful explosion was felt in Kiev, after the wreckage of a Russian missile hit the city’s central train station.
Authorities have not confirmed the original target of the attack, which did not cause casualties, according to preliminary information provided by the mayor of Kiev.

Faced with the Russian escalation, the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Kherson, Ihor Kolykhaiev, declared that Ukraine’s military is no longer there, indicating that it is now under Russian control.
Kherson is a strategically important city due to its position in relation to the Black Sea with a population of almost 300 thousand inhabitants.
