Award-winning chefs create exclusive dishes for R$50 at Hospedaria restaurant

The restaurant Hostel with branches in the Mooca neighborhood and Itaim Bibi, in São Paulo, invited four chefs to come up with suggestions for the Funça Food — a section of the menu with everyday dishes, available for lunch from Monday to Friday. Until the end of the year, each new dish developed will be available to the public for one month. With part of the proceeds donated to the Solidarity Action Against Childhood Cancer (ASCCI), the recipes have a fixed price of R$50 .

The chef Andre Mifano and her team, from the Italian restaurant Donna, inaugurate the cycle in September, with rice with chicken, with chicken thigh and drumstick, carrots, peppers and coriander. In October, the chef Janaina Torres from Bar da Dona Onça, makes a traditional rolled steak.

In November, Luana Sabino from the Mexican restaurant Metzi, signs a recipe with rice, beans, roasted chicken thigh with chipotle sauce, arugula salad, spinach, carrots and corn. To finish, Benny Novak from ICI Bistrô, ICI Brasserie and Tappo Trattoria, prepares the December suggestion.

The chef and owner of the place, Felipe Zanuto says that the idea for Rango de Funça came about because “we wanted to bring exactly what the employees ate before the restaurant opened, and the customers started asking for it”, he said.

THE Hostel opened in 2016, in Mooca, and now has a second branch in Itaim Bibi. The restaurant was inspired by the cuisine of Italian immigrants who left their country and came to the capital of São Paulo during World War II.
