Between the 24th and 28th, the Peruvian Jaime Pesaque and the mexican Francisco “Paco” Ruano hold a series of special dinners on national soil alongside renowned Brazilian chefs.
Pesach, who commands the mayta in Lima (in Peru), currently 9th among the 50 best restaurants in Latin America and 32nd among the 50 in the world lands in the capital of São Paulo for dinner with Onildo Rocha at the news downtown, on Wednesday (26).
Paco Ruano, who commands the mayor in Guadalajara (in Mexico), currently ranked 41st among the top 50 in Latin America and 51st on the expanded list of the top 50 in the world arrives for dinner at São Paulo Evvai on Monday (24th) and leaves for Belo Horizonte to cook at Saudade oven on Thursday (27) and on Tupi cuisine on Friday (28).

Jaime Pesaque in Sao Paulo

On Wednesday night (26), Paraiba chef Onildo Rocha shares the kitchen of Notiê Restaurant with an international guest for the first time.
Jaime Pesaque, from Mayta, prepares, alongside the Brazilian, a four-hand dinner that honors Amazonian and Peruvian cuisine, as the work of historical and cultural exploration around the Amazon brings both chefs together.
While Onildo has in his framework expeditions through the regional cuisines of Amazonas, Pará and Rondônia, Jaime presents a contemporary menu in which sea and land come together in a dialogue with the memory of his native country.
The special menu costs R$550, with the option of wine pairing for R$290.

Paco Ruano in São Paulo and Belo Horizonte

Mexican chef Paco Ruano, from Alcade, in Guadalajara, lands in both São Paulo and Belo Horizonte to share his experience that reinterprets and exalts traditional Mexican cuisine.
On Monday, April 24, the first stop is at Evvai, in São Paulo, 14th among the best in Latin America, where it presents an eight-course tasting menu with chef Luiz Filipe Souza.
In his luggage, Paco brings dishes such as tartaleta de pipián (a typical pepper-based sauce) with insects, Jerusalem artichoke tamales and curry tacos for the occasion. Dinner costs BRL 680 and a pairing option costs BRL 450.
On Thursday (27), the chef arrives in the capital of Minas Gerais to run Forno da Saudade, by chef Henrique Gilberto, where he prepares birria tacos on the parrilla, complete with shots of mezcal.
On Friday (28), Ruano says goodbye to his trip to Brazil at Cozinha Tupis, in Mercado Novo, also under the tutelage of Gilberto. The preparation involves a six-course dinner (R$ 265) entirely made by the Mexican chef.
