The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, noted in his speech, among other things: We reached 225,000 awards in 2021, while in 2020 we had 161,000 awards and in 2019 123,000. In May, the main pension issues will reach 30,000, something that has never happened in EFKA. We zeroed the outstanding pensions for the years 2016 2017, 2018. And in the next few days we will close 2019. The outstanding pensions of 2020 and 2021 will be cleared within the summer, and from September the EFKA forces will focus on the immediate de-escalation of overdue supplementary pensions. result of both the employees who worked more systematically and the actions and policies we implemented in digital, administrative and administrative level. The new logic of incentives and controls will be our compass from now on. And today’s award for the best employees and structures of EFKA is part of this logic. Some will try to find a contradiction. How is it that Hatzidakis criticizes EFKA and the employees and on the other hand rewards them. Those who precede and say it are unaware that the logic of incentives and controls is part of a modern administration! Reward on the one hand those who do their job well and motivate them to become even better. “On the other hand, to control and hold accountable those who insist on staying behind an old counterproductive logic.”
Undersecretary of Labor Panos Tsakloglou said: “When the Prime Minister gave me the post of Undersecretary of Labor almost three years ago, the problem of outstanding pensions seemed almost unsolvable. But with methodical actions at all levels, organizational, technological, administrative, and with the collective effort of the political leadership, the Administration and, of course, the EFKA employees, incredible progress has been made since then.
Undeniable witness, the number of retirement decisions that have been issued – both in total and per former fund – and even in particularly difficult conditions, such as those of the pandemic. Using all available tools and, in particular, the recently passed provisions on “fast tack pensions” and “trust pensions”, we estimate that the bulk of the remaining main outstanding pensions will be cleared in the summer “.
The Governor of EFKA Panagiotis Doufexis stated: “Today we honor for the first time the people who support the social security system of our country by giving daily battle with pathogens of years in order to issue the pensions of the citizens as soon as possible. They are literally the people of the” front line ” managed – in adverse conditions – with an insurance history that has not been fully digitized, with information systems of the former Funds that did not “talk” to each other to bring amazing results in terms of de-escalation of pending issues. by the Social Policy Exercise Body a quality, European level, service “.
The employees of EFKA were awarded by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Kostis Hatzidakis, the Deputy Minister of Labor Panos Tsakloglou, the General Secretary of Social Insurance Pavlina Karasiotou, the Governor of EFKA Panagiotos Doufaxos Atsaves, the Deputy Governors of EFKA Alexandros Varveris, Nikos Chourdakis, George Gratsios and Nikos Pagonis and the head of the Project Team for pensions Michalis Kefalogiannis.
